The $COOK supply distribution for Season 2: Methamorphosis was designed to drive engagement within the mETH Protocol ecosystem and incentivize early adoption of our new product, $cmETH.

Season 2 acknowledges users' continued contributions to the protocol’s growth, with Season 3 already planned to further reward participation and deepen ecosystem involvement.

As Season 2 ends on Feb. 16, here’s what you need to know about the allocation and the steps to successfully claim your $COOK and $cmETH restaking rewards once claims open, including on COOK Feast.

Allocation Breakdown

60% of the total $COOK token supply is allocated to the community, which includes product initiatives like Methamorphosis, growth campaigns, protocol collaborations, and more.

Out of this, 4% of the total $COOK token supply is specifically allocated to participants of Season 2: Methamorphosis.

• Participants constitute users who held eligible $mETH and/or $cmETH positions from Oct. 30, 2024 – Nov. 29, 2024, as well as eligible $cmETH positions for the remainder of the campaign until Feb. 16, 2025.
• $COOK allocation per user will be determined by the formula: Number of Powders per user / Total number of Powders × Season 2 $COOK Allocation (4%).

There will be no vesting period for this tranche of $COOK rewards. Do note that $COOK claims will be separate from the claiming process for $cmETH restaking rewards.

Claiming COOK Rewards

Users will be able to view their total $COOK rewards shortly after Season 2: Methamorphosis ends. As per our original announcement here, L1 protocols will not be incentivized in Season 2.

The claim period is set to go live in March. Follow-up announcements will be made prior, via our official channels.

Claiming cmETH Restaking Rewards

As part of Season 2: Methamorphosis, users with eligible $cmETH positions automatically accrue restaking rewards in the form of points across EigenLayer, Symbiotic, Karak, and Veda, retroactively credited from Oct. 30, 2024.

Please note that the timeline and process for rewards spanning Symbiotic, Karak, and Veda claims are subject to TGE initiation by the respective teams. While Veda points are not yet visible to eligible users, they will still be factored into the overall allocation and distribution process. Detailed information on claiming EigenLayer shares will be released shortly after Season 2 ends, and restaking share claims will require separate transactions on Ethereum L1.

COOK Feast Rewards Claim

Our COOK Feast campaign will conclude on Feb. 16, 2025. If you haven’t yet, you can still lock your $COOK to receive COOK Power here, redeemable for a share of 200 $cmETH in rewards!

Rewards are allocated based on a time-weighted calculation of COOK Power locked on COOK Feast. Individual daily rewards are determined by the formula: (Your Locked COOK Power / Total COOK Power Locked per Day by All Participants) * Daily Rewards Prize Pool.

The longer your COOK Power remains locked, the greater its boost. Claims for this section are scheduled to go live in March, with follow-up announcements to be shared prior via our official channels.
