Refresher on $mETH and $cmETH

$mETH is a vanilla staking token that serves as a 1:1 value-accumulating receipt for staked ETH. It’s designed to be straightforward; holders can redeem $mETH at any time for their original $ETH plus accumulated staking rewards.

$cmETH takes staking to the next level by allocating assets across multiple staking protocols like EigenLayer, Symbiotic, Karak, and Veda. This risk-adjusted approach allows holders to earn rewards from several platforms simultaneously, consolidating complex staking strategies into a single, streamlined asset.

Now that we’ve covered the unique benefits of $mETH and $cmETH, let’s dive into a step-by-step guide on how to deposit them as collateral on ApeX Omni to fully maximize their utility.

Step 1: Connect Wallet

Start off by heading over to ApeX Omni’s official platform. Click “Connect Wallet” and select your preferred wallet, making sure you’ve chosen Mantle as your chain. Two signature requests will pop-up to verify ownership of the wallet — approve these and you’re ready to start depositing!

Step 2: Obtain $mETH/$cmETH

To qualify for rewards, your deposits must exceed $100 worth of $mETH or $cmETH. If you don’t already have $mETH or $cmETH, you can follow this step to get started. Otherwise, skip ahead to Step 3 to deposit.

There are two options to obtain $mETH and $cmETH, depending on what works best for you.

Option 1: Swap Directly on ApeX Omni Spot DEX

This is the easiest way to acquire $mETH or $cmETH:

1. Go to ApeX Omni’s Spot DEX.
2. Select $mETH or $cmETH from the list of available assets.
3. Choose the token you want to swap, enter the amount you’d like to exchange, and confirm.
4. Once the transaction is processed, your $mETH or $cmETH will appear in your wallet, ready to be used as collateral.

Option 2: Stake $ETH and Bridge to Mantle Network

If you prefer to stake $ETH yourself, you can do so through the official mETH Protocol staking interface, then bridge your $mETH to Mantle Network.

To do this,

1. Stake $ETH on the mETH Protocol staking interface. This converts your $ETH into $mETH.
2. Bridge your $mETH to Mantle Network using our official bridge.
3. Once the bridging process is complete, you’ll receive $mETH on Mantle Network, which can then be used as collateral on ApeX Omni.
4. Note: If you prefer $cmETH, this can be acquired just as easily by restaking your $mETH on our official site.

Step 3: Deposit $mETH or $cmETH

Click on your wallet address in the upper right hand corner. A “Deposit” button will pop up → click it to deposit your funds of choice.

Step 4: Enter and Confirm Deposit

Enter the amount that you'd like to deposit and click "Confirm Deposit". Your collateral will be added instantly.

Step 5: Check Your Deposit

To ensure everything went through, visit your ApeX Omni Dashboard > Profile > Overview, where you’ll see your deposited assets.

Rewards

With these five simple steps, you now qualify for a share of 10K USDT + 10K MNT in rewards during the campaign, until Feb. 25, 10AM UTC. Do note that the total reward pool will be distributed in two ways:

• 50% will be issued as an ApeX Omni Bonus and deposited into the winners' ApeX Omni Reward Center.
• 50% will be distributed as $MNT tokens, which will be distributed directly to the winners' wallets via Mantle Network.
