EigenDA is now live on Mantle Network!
Secured by 162.9K $mETH (~$335M USD), mETH contributes to EigenDA’s economic security, ensuring scalable and efficient data availability for Mantle Network.
mETH’s Role in EigenDA’s Security Model
Slashing is currently in testnet, reinforcing operator accountability alongside ongoing enhancements in fraud detection and alternative security mechanisms.
With slashing enabled, operators and restaked capital providers have aligned incentives to act honestly, securing EigenDA’s economic model while earning reward emissions. Operators earn these rewards and pass them to restakers, ensuring strong economic alignment across the network.
mETH strengthens EigenDA’s cost-to-corrupt model by increasing the economic stake securing the network. Backed by ETH restaked through EigenLayer, including mETH, operators face higher financial costs for attacks, making manipulation prohibitively expensive.
Strengthening Mantle Network with mETH
By reinforcing EigenDA’s economic security, mETH helps Mantle Network maintain efficient and resilient data availability by:
- Raising the cost of Sybil attacks, making manipulation economically unfeasible
- Aligning operator incentives with EigenDA’s economic model, complementing Ethereum’s security framework
- Lowering capital requirements to encourage broader operator participation (EigenDA now supports 200+ operators, compared to 10 on MantleDA)
- Enhancing decentralization for greater network stability and long-term resilience
As Mantle Network scales, mETH remains a critical pillar in securing its data availability layer.
